Sean on the other hand pretended to be one person and all the debauchery and deviance was behind closed doors and hidden from the character he played in public.

No, his debauchery and deviance were considered rather vanilla at the time. He got a pass. It was not until his later years that the stories were revealed.

I think he was a government spy or something. Very odd a man from the Midwest and can somehow start a porn magazine that somehow interviewed politicians. Didn’t Playboy interview Pres Jimmy Carter once?

There’s no way someone like him banged J Lo and didn’t tape it. Suge Knight said matter of factly Ben and J Lo’s divorce was about a tape that the Feds found during the raid and showed to Ben and J Lo. The raid of Diddy’s house happened in March. J Lo stated the date of separation as April 26th and is curiously not using an attorney to file.

Los Angeles is very small and people talk. I think Occams Razor says the more high profile person than Diddy is Jennifer.

It explains the sudden implosion of the marriage.

I don’t know HH well. Did he beat women too?

He forced Linda Marchiano, who was raped repeatedly in the making of Deep Throat, to engage in bestiality with a dog.

Say what? That sounds like a Trump quote right there.

Playboy history is complicated. They have a history of hiring competent journalists who have written legitimately interesting articles, including interviews with many famous and renowned people. I'm not into what they have evolved into or a defender of Heffner, but it's a little simplistic to view them as a "porn magazine" exclusively.

He drugged women too and people mocked his accusers as disgruntled girlfriends when they referenced abuse by him. That sick old man was able to die peacefully in old age with three girlfriends.

He was also bisexual and slept with poor male teenagers exploiting them but I guess that’s fine. He was also branded “a mogul” that threw wild Mansion parties that tons of celebrities and politicians attended

Hugh Hefner was also disgusting and did heinous things to people.

I watched that several-part documentary about him and my takeaway is that there was more secrecy in his day and the women didn't speak up or if they did they were actively discredited by him and others. He also promoted himself as a feminist and free speech advocate and hid behind that. I don't believe he was sincere in any way, but I think famous people were more able to use the media to promote false, good guy personas in the past despite obvious evidence to the contrary. He was completely despicable.
Didn't work for Cosby.

It worked until it didn't. Cosby got a story killed in National Enquirer about his rapes. Janice Dickinson had to remove her story about him in her memoir. He got away with it for a long time.

+1 Times have changed and the Me Too movement really accelerated the public's understanding and lack of tolerance for sexual violence. Cosby got away with it for a very long time, as did Harvey Weinstein, Sean Combs, and others.

That’s interesting. What makes you think HH was an intel honeypot? What would he be finding out?

Not to my knowledge…it was more the drugging, raping, recording, bisexual orgies, an entourage of guests who also sexually assaulted the women (and maybe men) and a ‘clean-up crew’ to hide evidence and scare the victims into silence.

Didn’t they film at least one reality TV show there?

How many times was Diddy on Ellen’s show? Had to be dozens. Why?

I think you are missing the point. PP seemed to be wondering how a guy with little means founded an expensive magazine. One wonders how he paid for it all. And how did one start a porn magazine and pay writers to write good articles?

It’s strange.

Wow!
Puffy is truly 54??! 😳
I had no idea he was that old… and will be 55 before the year is over.

He’s a horrible person but think he easily does not look a day over 40.
