Would love to hear more about the kinds of families attending your schools (without giving personal information out)!

My daughter at Spence (middle school) has no cool families.

All just normal parents with pretty good but not spectacular jobs.

Kids are hard working and act like typical young teenage girls.

It is nice to talk about vacation without feeling judged and seeing the children play well together. My dc has many great friends and enjoys the community aspect.

Nothing in detail or particular to share, but yes of course this is NYC! I’m most interested in the people with interesting jobs (to me).

Major/well known novelist
Some serious artists including one who does fairly well known large scale outdoor installations
President of a major NY academic institution
Dean of another academic/design institution

Growing up in a different state, one of my best friends in kindergarten was the son of a prominent mafia affiliate. (apparently the dad was a super charming involved parent too, and while I don't remember it I'm told birthday party pickup at his house was quite an experience)

Chapin mom Juilie Macklowe just wrote a major oped in the Wall Street Journal and apparently agreed to a major profile in the New York Times so I assume it's okay to mention her here. She proudly shared her address to the NY times.

There are numerous bold face names at various NYC schools. People who travel in those circles know who many of them are and which schools they are affiliated with. But it is very gauche to publicly specify who they are and what schools. And if you see them at the school or a school-related event, you don't fanboy over them.

Just yesterday I found out about a fairly prominent name affiliated with my child's school who I wasn't aware of (we are fairly new). It came up in a natural context, not "did you know that this person is at the school? OMG!"

My kids have always been in "honors" schools so it's always been a lot of nerds. Nice people, but nerdy. No one is "cool."
