There was another thread asking about if kids were considering wise year. So sharing the numbers.

Overwhelmingly, students at Wise cannot transfer into UVA (despite the names and the association between the two).

The exception are the students who apply to UVA, are not admitted, but wait-listed: a portion of the wait-listed students are offered a spot in the “Year at Wise” (YAW) program.

YAW kids attend classes separate from the main Wise student body. They also have to meet strict standards for a shot at UVA. If they get it, they start as sophomores at UVA the following year.

YIW program. The target and maximum number for this program is 100 students.

It's a special program for waitlisted students in UVA's College of Arts and Sciences.

So the OP’s post means that of the 100 spots reserved for Year in Wise that are offered to waitlisted applicants, 85 have been filled?

I’m still trying to fully understand what OP’s post means…

Inscrutable to those not already in the know.

Lord why are folks so obnoxious here? Just sharing a follow up I saw from someone previously asking how many people enroll in the Year in Wise program in case anyone else was interested.
