Packable summer dresses

Anonymous
I could use a couple new summer dresses and would like to find a couple that are also good to take on trips- I don't want a "travel" dress per se, but something relatively lightweight and no fuss that doesn't wrinkle terribly. Like small touchups would be ok but I don't want to spend 20 minutes getting wrinkles out. Any recent finds or suggestions?? Particularly midi length- I'm 5'4". TIA.

I love my Jude connally dresses for this but the fabric is sort of weird so ymmv. It’s like swimsuit fabric, sort of? Sounds weird, but looks great after being crumpled in my suitcase and is comfortable and doesn’t get stretched out or wrinkly when you sweat.

I came on here to suggest Jude Connally dresses too. I have several that I bought a few years ago and they always come out of the suitcase looking great. I don't love a lot of their recent patterns -- they seem pretty loud to me. But I do check their website every summer to see if there are any that I want to add to my collection.

Cotton jersey knit fabric is very common in summer dresses of all shapes sizes and colors and doesn't wrinkle much. Can be a bit clingy - but anything blousy like cotton or linen or silk will wrinkle and anything wrinkle free will be clingy.

Make sense?

You keep recommending Pact and I really want to buy their stuff but does anyone know how they fit? Cotton is not stretchy. So I'm a little nervous. I don't know if I'm a S or M, so probably a M but such a pain not to try things on.

They have these dresses at Whole Foods and REI.

I have one I really like from Pact. And inexplicably, this year they seem to have a bunch of really ugly prints. But if you stick to the solid, you should be fine. I like them, because it is all natural fibers.

? to the bolded. I shop REI a lot and have never seen Pact dresses there. I like the silhouettes for Pact but when you charge me for shipping & returns, I'm not ordering just to try it on.
