SuperCopa Schedules

Anonymous
Anyone know when SuperCopa schedules will be released? Last year I feel like we already had them by June 1.

Interested in seeing how the DMV clubs do there (SYC, BSC, PPA, and Pipeline). U10 and U11 groups look tough.

Yup, craziness like the inaugural pre-ECNL tournament in Utah!

It's a bit much... Super Copa is seen as a premier cross league tournament where only the best teams are invited. It's in the exclusive/ elite category.

Families should be saying no, but for the families on the top teams with disposable income, it's a fun thing to do.
-There is os much research saying how playing in endless tournaments and playing soccer year round are bad for kids... but all these opportunities just keep popping up to fill in any empty spots on the soccer calendar.

People can spend their money how they want.

Florida sounds better than Utah to me.

Season is over

Start working on fixing your individual weaknesses and sharpening your strengths mixed with summer fun

Traveling to sweltering Florida for 3 more games where you may touch the ball 12 times is silly

Can you point me to that? I did a quick search and couldn’t find anything specially regarding tournaments being bad, or year round being bad. A few things carved soccer out as an exception, but not really on topic to the tournaments.

I’d love to read that research because I’m always trying to figure out the right balance and it’s very challenging.

You need "research" to tell you paying thousands of $$$ for not even 11 v 11 kids traveling across the country for a meaningless trophy is bad? Most of the tournaments aren't even the "real" teams playing so it's just a collection of who is willing to pay and who the coach finds on IG somewhere with dumb highlights.

Omg wtf is wrong with people like you? Yes. Yes they are. Because it's fun. The kids like soccer and the families like to travel. Yeah it's hot in Florida but the kids can cope.

As someone who said no to the invite in favor of a family vacation, the only issue I have is the privilege portrayed by those attending as if “the best” below U12 is nothing more than upper middle class puberty ball.

The Board of Tourism for Tampa thanks attendees for their contribution!
