It's a bit much... Super Copa is seen as  a premier cross league tournament where only the best teams are invited.  It's in the exclusive/ elite category.

Families should be saying no, but for the families on the top teams with disposable income, it's a fun thing to do.

Can you point me to that? I did a quick search and couldn’t find anything specially regarding tournaments being bad, or year round being bad. A few things carved soccer out as an exception, but not really on topic to the tournaments.

You need "research" to tell you paying thousands of $$$ for not even 11 v 11 kids traveling across the country for a meaningless trophy is bad? Most of the tournaments aren't even the "real" teams playing so it's just a collection of who is willing to pay and who the coach finds on IG somewhere with dumb highlights. [/quote]
