She installed someone without tv experience and essentially fired the journalist who challenged her decision to hold the El Salvador torture piece |
| Is that really necessary? I didn't know anybody was still watching. |
Viewership was actually up last year. And yeah, it’s necessary if we want to try to save what’s left of journalism |
I stopped watching after Weiss killed the El Salvador prison segment. |
| People should have boycotted anything Bari Weiss has touched for many years before this… she’s an evil demon. |
Agree. I'm a boomer, and have always liked 60 Minutes, but enough is enough. Bari Weiss should be fired. CBS is kowtowing to Trump in every which way, so I plan to boycott all its shows. |
| I’m a young GenX (will turn 50 this year) and have always thought of it as an old folks show because my parents watched it when I was growing up. Plus the stopwatch sound always signified the end of the weekend. So I don’t watch it for those reasons and now I have an additional one lol. |
| I haven’t watched CBS in years. |
This was my first thought too! |
| Boycott? This ain't yo daddies 60 minutes. No one is watching already. |
| There’s exactly one litmus test that led to her hire and to Bilton’s hire, too. ZBS, indeed. |
| Boycotting sounds like it takes more effort than just avoiding anything Bari Weiss is involved in, which comes naturally. |

Scott Pelley blew up about the new producer, Weiss and the firings today in a staff meeting, saying Weiss “murdered” 60 Minutes. I’ve watched since I was a teen. I’m an old Gen X and am so sad and mad about the decimation of this show and the Washington Post.

+1 She’s a horrible person, lacking ethical integrity. |
| Meh |
