Fun Dublin and Edinburgh hotels for 21 yos

Anonymous
Looking for recs for early July for hotels in Dublin and Edinburgh for two 21 yo boys. Safe and close to the best vibes/pubs.

I saw the Temple Bar Inn online?

Thank you. (Also looking at hostels but many are booked)

They should book them themselves.

Are they going to with you?

They are going themselves. They will book themselves. Looking for recs from experts here.

Sorry— then they should research themselves

Apparently it’s totally fine for other people to ask for vacation advice or things to do with kids on school holidays, but the minute someone asks for advice for their young adult children people think it’s helicopter parenting.

I’m sure OP was just seeing if people are familiar with the area and was going to pass it along to their child. OP never said they were planning every detail of the trip.

These replies are crazy OP, I'm sorry. I don't have advice for you but I would search other forums.

For Dublin: Abbey Court Hostel on Bachelors Walk or anyplace in Rathmines. It’s close enough to walk into town, lots of pubs along the way and a safe area.

Source, I studied abroad in Dublin for the year when I was 21.

It’a just odd to me. Would you hop on here to ask for reccs for a neighbor? Maybe you would but if it’s not the person asking you don’t know what they are looking for or even if they want the advice. If the kids really want DCUM’s advice on where to stay (which I kind of doubt) I am sure they can figure out how to post.

I would but I know there are enough sad shrews like you who just jump on OPs that I never would mention I'm asking for my (fill-in-the-blank) since you don't get answers.

Lots of people ask around if one of their friends or family is asking for suggestions. It’s really not odd at all.

Honestly my kid would mock me if I gave them hotel reccs from DCUM but if it works for you that’s great!

My young adults were happy at the Moxy in Dublin
