Rising 13u Primetime or Arlington United?

Tryouts are next week. Assuming my son gets an offer from both any pros and/or cons from current parents that you care to share? My kid does want to play in college right now if that matters. Of course he’s 12.

Go where you think he'll play the most

Interesting. Thanks. Good advice.

Does your wife like getting railed by drunken Trumpers? Then Prime Time is your choice!

I’ve known families who were happy and unhappy at both. Prime time facilities are a PIA from parts of Arlington at rush hour.

Prime Time's location couldn't suck worse. It's hell at 5pm

Your experience will depend on the individual coach of the team, but the head of AU (Womer) is extremely well respected while the head of Prime Time (Berset) is polarizing. Agree with the poster who said go where the athlete will play the most.

Maybe also consider where the player wants to attend hs. Prime Time is the obvious pick if you’re considering BOC. Otherwise it doesn’t matter, they’re both longtime nova baseball people and everyone knows each other.

Honestly the most important thing your child can do for recruiting in the next few years is get big and strong and fast. It doesn’t matter where they play 13u

+1

And you get more playing time if you pay to go everyday in that terrible traffic. Take out a loan with all the express lane costs.

If its a lower level PT team, don't bother.

I didn’t mean my last sentence to be dismissive. It obviously matters for their enjoyment and development. But this choice won’t make or break anything long term so go where he has a buddy and thinks he will get the most playing time

Where might your kid to go HS? If O'C, then PT of course. If you look at WL or YHS, its similar # of kids from PT and AU.

Didn’t a few bunch of lower level Pt kids not make BOC JV this year? Do you have to play on a top team to make JV there or YHS JV?

Don’t go to Primetime. It is best to avoid them unless it’s your last resort. They want blind faith and loyalty and will punish you if you leave even if you’re not playing. The owners are messy and maga.

Not exactly a glowing recommendation. Are they better at the older ages? What are other options? Obviously waiting to hear from both.
