Ignoring schools, ignoring commuting - what is the prettiest neighborhood in Nova? Does not need to be the largest homes or most expensive.
Like, most likely to be photographed for a magazine. WDYT? |
| šæthis is gonna be good! |

Old Town definitely has to be mentioned.
I donāt know about the whole neighborhood, but I think there are some attractive homes on S Arlington Ridge Road and on Broad Street in FCC. But those are pretty busy roads, which precludes them from being magazine worthy in my opinion. |
| Beverly Hills, Alexandria or neighborhoods south of Old Town Alex, like Belle Haven. |
| everyone will disagree. aesthetics is entirely personal preference. |
OP here - thatās fine: Iām not seeking consensus, Iām seeking opinions. Iām not looking to tell someone their taste is bad. Iām asking, if you only care how pretty your street is when you turn onto it and nothing else, where would that be? In other places Iāve lived, I find that question much easier to answer - itās harder here for me, but there are also lots of parts Iām unfamiliar with. |

Maywood, Arlington
Mansion Drive in Alexandria |
| Rosemont neighborhoods in Alexandria |
| Belle Haven, Rosemont |
| Ironically looks like weāve reached consensus quickly hah |
| Georgetown and Old town Alexandria. For SFH areas, not sure, so many to choose from and you cannot compare rural setting areas (that are pretty in their own way) to more urban SFH neighborhoods. For SFH areas, I'd say hilly parts of NWDC and Great Falls, providing different vibe |
| For mid century modern, people love Hollin Hills. As for my super snarky self, Pimmit Hills. |
| Franklin Park in Mclean |
My bad, it's about NOVA.. It's just when I hear DCUM discuss beautiful areas, I always think DC first.. the bias.
For NOVA it would be older Alexandria areas, obviously, unless there are other parts further out I am not aware of. I also do like GF and its rolling hills and woodsy setting where even uglier examples of housing blend into the attractive nature of this area. Some parts of North Arlington, Mclean and Falls Church are also attractive around the hilly woodsy water creek areas. Chain bridge rd has nice views too. Even if not all housing stock is cute, the nature makes up for this, but there are a lot of objectively nice homes there too. |
