Airplane Noise Westmoreland Hills?

Considering buying in the neighborhood — is there bad airplane noise there like there is in Palisades and neighborhoods on the DC side of the border close to the Potomac?

Hard to find any neighborhoods in the area that aren’t under some flight paths. But because Westmoreland Hills is further away from the Potomac River, it has much less plane noise than Palisades and Kent.

Yes, there is airplane noise over NOVA areas of Arlington, Mclean even GF. But it's not constant, at least it's not as bad as it was some years when they sent all the flights along a few paths above NOVA residential areas and far from the river. This last year it hasn't been as terrible, although some days or hours it can be bad depending what paths they use. Like PP says, it's super hard to avoid airline traffic near you no matter where you live in DMV
