1.5 woodley park sfh?!

Anonymous
I just saw this sfh in woodley park on Redfin. It’s a decent size, in decent condition, and is dated but fine! Why on earth is this only 1.5?

Ok. Upon looking again, it’s semi detached and across from maret, but it still seems underpriced!

1.The kitchen is.... blue
2.One bed is in the basement (with a window AC)
3. The baths look like Choice Hotel.
4. The laundry is three floors from bedrooms
5. It's a TH. You could do soooo much better in Old Town at that price point.

It's a duplex

Still seems like a great underpriced deal.

I like :
Wood floors
Bathrooms (esp green one)
Kitchen
Yard with nature shade trees

I hate :
The boring sea of white. It lacks those details that make it beautiful. It’s ugly inside. The staging is making it look far worse, this home emoty would do better.

The price reflects the ugly dull sea of white.

How is it a duplex?

Seems like a good price

It's on a busy road across from a school and is not a SFH - it's semi-detached, meaning it's one structure divided into two residences. Anything higher than 1.5 million would be too high.

It's attached to another home - they share a party wall. Do you see the two front doors in the main photo?

The floor plan is choppy, and they've made quite a few very unique design choices (such as the very blue kitchen). Looks like a good candidate for a gut remodel, but, at that price point, that might be hard.

Maret across the street is annoying. The road isn’t that busy aside from maret. It still seems like a deal. Liveable and walkable and calm safe neighborhood.

It’s tiny. Galley blue kitchen. Yuck.

I really like the bones but it's cheap builders grade everything, with a godawful kitchen.

There's a bus that goes by that house.

As a tall person, no no no. The itsy bitsy kitchen. The slanted ceilings.

It’s not in Manhattan, there are dozens of neighborhoods where you can have more comfortable space and the same life for that budget.
