Joe Kent, of the National Counterterrorism Center resigns.
Holy moly! “I cannot in good conscience support the ongoing war in Iran,” Mr. Kent, the director of the National Counterterrorism Center, wrote in a social media post. “Iran posed no imminent threat to our nation, and it is clear that we started this war due to pressure from Israel and its powerful American lobby.” |
Looking forward to Lying Kreepy Karoline spin this! |
| It’s about to get ugly. |
| I'm guessing he's about to get the same treatment that Massie and MTG got. |
Yup. This is our warning. |
|
The newspapers will continue to cover up. The NYt editorial today still had the audacity to say the war was right.
We are so effed. |
| Looking forward to the deranged tweet. |
| He blames the war on lobbyists and the media when his boss is the one who ordered it. |
|
It’s being reported all of the UK and Canada right now.
I can’t wait for the Trump meltdown. |

Most career employees in the intelligence agencies are mission-driven, not political. They believe is the value of analysis, highly-considered decisionss, and ethics.
Given the incentives to leave that federal workers have been offered, and given concerns about whether it's possible to work with integrity under Trump 2.0 (1.0 was challenging enough), many career employees have left the intelligence agencies over the past year. More will follow. |
It’s never his fault. |
This guy was political, not career. He was a MAGA congressman before doing this. |
Kent is very very far from an apolitical, mission-driven career employee. He’s a MAGA who primaried a seminormal Republican congresswoman who then lost that seat to a Democrat. Twice. This position was his reward, similar to other Republican congressional candidates who lost like the current secretary of Labor and its inspector general. |
!!! What! |
Really MAGA were supposedly "no new wars" so this is refreshingly on-brand. Trump has failed virtually everybody except his Israeli handlers. |
