I feel like in all this talk about boundary studies/option H the region model idea is no longer being discussed. Is that still on the table?
Rather frustrated to see the lack of discourse. The region model affects the whole county, while option H only impacts a small portion of it.

Yes, it will be approved at the same time as the boundary changes.

It will be voted on at the same time as the boundaries and likely approved. Even though MCPS has not yet surveyed families to see if anyone wants their proposal. People have been so worked up about the boundaries that most don't even know what's going on with the regional proposal.

People have stopped talking about it because it became clear there was no change to stop it.

That said, I think there should still be discussion around pushing Board members to call for improvements to it, like providing accessible transportation to programs for all families and amending program placement so it doesn't harm less well-off schools.
