Is “insider” an entity unto itself or are you using that term to mean you heard this from a TJ insider?

Pretty awesome that nearly 20% of the class has already been admitted before regular decisions have come out.

Yep, but keep in mind that around 70% of the class applied in one of these two rounds.

Yep, but keep in mind that around 70% of the class applied in one of these two rounds.


Sure, that’s fine. It’s hard to get into UVA and it should be. More will get in in April, and a few more perhaps off the waitlist.

It’s not a data point that serves either positive or negative narratives about TJ, IMO, unless you have the sort of 90s-early 2000s mindset about how UVA should be a safety school for TJ kids.

The acceptance rate is about the same as the in state acceptance rate.
