For families who are still exploring -
My child received an email from St. Joe's that they are still accepting applications. I am sure there are other families that can expand the list .... |
| Reed college still accepting ED2 applications. |
| Loyola New Orleans has an April 15th deadline. |
Are they accepting new apps or asking if applicants want to convert from RD to ED? Santa Clara University is doing the latter. Endless games with college admissions! |
| It hasn’t opened yet, but NACAC always posts a list of schools that are still accepting applications nearer to April 1. It’s searchable by state, whether FA or housing is still available, and maybe another factor or two that I can’t remember off the top of my head. |
It’s March 12. How would Santa Clara convert RDs to EDs at this point? |
This is essentially what happens when you are offered a space off of any school’s waitlist. I don’t understand how a community so broadly obsessed with prestige can also hold it against any school that does whatever it can to manage enrollment. Low acceptance rate/high yield is a data point that many on this board invoke to claim that a T10 school is SOOOO much better than a T30 school. It’s crazy. Everyone slams the Chicagos, Northeasterns, and Hamiltons for their enrollment management techniques but all of the schools run some type of game. Stakes are too high. Understand the field of pla and put your grown up pants on. |
Accepting new apps |
They basically want the student to commit to a binding decision so the school knows they’d attend if offered admission, and then withdraw any remaining apps and decline other offers. |
|
St. Louis University is committing to a 1 week turn around for admissions decisions for seniors right now.
Good luck to all |
| You all know about The Space Available Survey, don't you? |
what is hamilton's game? |
They are accepting new applications. "Dear dcum: I wanted to reach out as we head into spring, in case Reed is still on your mind. If Reed feels like a strong fit and you’re ready to move forward, you still have the option to apply through Early Decision II this spring. If you submit your completed application by April 15 and we have all required materials and financial aid information on file, you can expect to hear back from us within about two weeks. Students who apply during this time are still fully considered for financial aid, with the same thoughtful, holistic review process that Reed is known for. If you and your family have questions about the process, timeline, or whether this option makes sense for you, I’m always happy to help. Email me at trinh@reed.edu or call 503-517-4092. Sincerely, Huy Trinh Director of Admission" |
this sounds like they want to convert you to ED2 - fast track for decision. |
No. DC never applied there. But you might be right, mass email mistake. |
