Why bother with this? It’s all negative. Can we find a single positive?

OP here. You’re welcome to find some positive examples and post them here. But anll examples are a matter of perspective. For example, Russia stands to make a lot of money off their oil due to this war, which is good for them but bad for the war in Ukraine and for European efforts to diminish Russia’s power.

US farmers will get another bailout since supplies of fertilizer have been severely curtailed.

Price of aluminum will soar since about 30% of the world's supply is smelted in the Gulf region and needs the Strait to leave.

Dubai is the world's largest re-exporter so the supply chain for many, many different things will be all screwed up. Again.

The cost of jet fuel has doubled as a result of the war. Expect to see air fares go up even higher.

And they get to assist Iran with targeting. They are getting paid to help destroy our assets and kill people.

The positive is that the US hopefully won't be stupid enough to be led into war by Israel again

This administration has 3 more years to go. It’s pretty unlikely that it won’t continue to be influenced by Israel on any number of things, including military intervention.

I don't think our politicians are capable of saying "NO" to Israel.
