| I have never selected to sit outside and enjoy a meal at a Restaurant. Looking back, my mother never did, my friends never did, even as an adult I have not. I think my main concerns are bugs, and general passerby related anxiety. |
| No, you're right. |
| I honestly don't know how some people get through life. |
| It's lovely to depending on the weather. Some restaurants have enclosed areas. |
| A slug fell and landed on my food once. Be careful where you are seated |
DCUM regularly makes me feel better about my life and relative lack of anxiety. And I say that as someone who has had panic attacks. |
| Depends on the heat and humidity. I am not interested in sweating. |

Well you don’t have to, right? If you won’t enjoy it, don’t.
Or, start “small.” Get a coffee and sit outside a coffee shop with a book and see if you enjoy it. If you do, “ramp up” and get a bagel or lunch next time. And so on. I don’t love it in times/places when it’s mosquito season, but there’s a window every year when it’s delightful. |
| This isn’t California or Italy, you aren’t missing anything. |
This is good advice. Where do you live? Maybe we can give you suggestions on where to start? |
| Dog patios are the best. |

No, you shouldn't do it.
My wait time is long enough. You go home or sit indoors. |

No one should have to talk you into something you aren't comfortable doing.
I like eating outside when the weather is nice and the setting is nice. Some city restaurants have courtyards (like the Tabard Inn). Or they have rooftop patios (DelMar on the Wharf). I love to eat outside in our beach town in summer (it's in the northeast so not hot and sticky and the dining has water views). But if that's not your vibe don't worry - take advantage of less crowded indoor dining during nice weather. |
| Be ware of the rats in some parts of town. I was eating outside at Georgetown and a rat passed between my feet. I almost died. But I still eat outside, just not in Georgetown. |
| This is perfect whether to grab an early dinner outside. I'm out on my desk right now. |
