Any idea when waitlist will start to move. I understand the whole acceptance to yielding numbers thing. But every year kids get off the waitlist, so just curious when to expect movement if there is any?? Anyone have past experience from last year at one of the top independent schools? |
| Most will not move at all. The few that move will move after the enrollment deadline. |
| If they haven’t already moved, don’t expect anything until June 1st. |
| Deposits aren't due until the end of next week to confirm spots. So schools won't know until then about how many seats they have available. |
| We got off a WL 2 years ago the day before you had to notify if you were accepting a spot so they must have seen enough no’s by then to go to us. |
| We got off a waitlist in the past couple of years a couple of weeks after decisions were in. I think the school closed for spring break and came back and started counting heads. It could have also been after the Walls decisions came in (this was for HS) possibly leading to a couple HS kids changing their minds. |
| Most deposits are due tomorrow, or spots are considered declined. Most people have already made their choices who applied to multiple schools. So the waitlist should start to move. Good luck everyone!!! Keep us posted. |
Any movement before that? Will majority of multiple offer families not sending emails to let school know, instead they will just wait for deadline to pass? |
| Does anyone have experience with Maret Deadline if it ever moves or no |
| Maret nearly never moves. |
Multiple offer families are fully factored into yield calculations. It is only major deviations from years of data that trigger significant waitlist movement. It's rare if you're talking about one of the more competitive schools. |

usually after spring break
|
| End of this week or during spring break. There might be additional movement around May 1. Very unlikely after that. |
why May 1? |
| Any update on schools to pulled from waitlist today? |
