A interesting read that may confirm some people’s assumptions about this year’s private K admissions process and the parents who took part in it. The dad who jealously badmouths someone else’s Collegiate-bound preschooler at the end is the icing on the cake. |

| This article feels like it was planted by the consultants referenced in order to generate anxiety and therefore drive business to those consultants. |
Agreed. |
| The Collegiate story at the end is consistent with the profile of some kids we know there. Not the same child or story but I believe it. |
+1. They are such leeches |
| Fake news |
| Wow. An UES mom with a second house in Westchester County was disappointed she didn’t get aid? |
I was so surprised by reading this too.. |
| Which year (excluding the pandemic time) is not hard though? |
| Doesn't NY Mag publish some version of this same article EVERY single year? |
| I mean no one is going to publish an article about how schools admissions was super easy, chill and uncompetitive. People just like to psyche each other out and psyche themselves out. And yes they will publish some version of this article every year to stoke the hysteria. The sky is not falling. |
| Omg the end of that article is so ridiculous. |
| These parents are going to raise horrendous children. I feel bad for the expectations and pressure their kids must be subjected to. |
