How much sleep do you (personally) need?

For me 6-7 for truly functioning, but 8 is the sweet spot.

7.5 is where I function the best but as an oft insomniac as long at I can get 4 I’m okay.

As I’ve gotten older I can’t sleep in anymore. Last night I went to bed at 11:30 and was up by 8…

7-7:30 is great. Usually with 6 I am functional and that’s how long I sleep on weekdays. I get headaches and feel less optimal when sleep longer than 8 hours.

8-8.5 for me to feel good, beyond just functioning.

9.5. I’ve always needed a lot of sleep.

I aim for 8.5 each night, prob average about 8. And I sleep in or take a long nap (so about three hours extra of sleep) at least once a weekend.

So, it’s not enough. I’m 41 and have three kids.

8-9 and I feel amazing. I usually get 7-7.5.

I have been having nerve issues the past several months and I’ve been sleeping 10-13 hours a night. Before that it was 6-7

5-6 hrs. Have been like this since high school.

Same here and it doesn't matter what time I go to bed.

I actually slept 8 hours the other night and I was a zombie all day. I think my body was rebelling against that much sleep!

8.5-9 if low meat intake; 7 if eating beef on a regular basis

8 - 9 to be fully functional

5-6 to feel great, 4-5 functional, less than 4 miserable.

8 hours is perfect

I get 6 if I’m lucky

8 hours minimum.

Same as OP - 6-7 to function ok, but feel best with 8. (rarely get 8 sadly).
