No longer are anti-trust laws the major hurdle to clear in pushing large acquisitions across the finish line - in this new paradigm, you apparently have to secure permission from the White House.
The founding fathers are surely chuckling somewhere at the mess we’ve all allowed to consume our nation. https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/business/digital/warner-bros-discovery-paramounts-offer-superior-to-netflix-1236516591/ |
If the deal is no longer profitable then one must concede that Paramount taking over a media, news, and cultural powerhouse is about something else. CBS makes it look obvious. Netflix already had a deal. How is this even a thing in business where the WBD board keeps saying no for months to Paramount until it's forced to say yes? This is not how business deals work. It's how the yakuza or cartels force their way on and infiltrate the boards of large corporations in their respective countries. This needs to be investigated and the next president surely will, on anti-trust alone. Hopefully the next president has some balls (male or females) and tears all this shit down. No dual loyalties. The zionists are taking over. Look to alternative sources for your news. And no this is not anti-semitic, whatever that means anyway. Zionists are saying the quiet part out loud these days. |
| Gross. Netflix had the better offer. Who are the traitors on Warner's board who were afraid of the President??? |
| Say goodbye to our media ecosystem. We will now get propaganda on CBS, CNN and Netflix, with the creativity that made Netflix desirable go away. |
Warner's Board recommended Netflix deal. Trump was backing Larry Ellison and son, and also threatened Netflix if they did not fire Susan Rice. Netflix's CEO Sarandos walked out of the White House and immediately said that they were no longer competing. I guess he still had some balls and was not get his knees scraped and his tongue turning orange. Anyway, Ellison's Paramount will have to pay Netflix 2.8 billion dollars to get the bid. I honestly hope Paramount collapse under the debt, but I doubt they will, they have big donor backers from the Middle East |
This makes no sense. Netflix doesn't provide news and its bid did not include CNN. |
They have the backing of the treasuries of 2 countries to basically print money plus the backing of other central banks around the world. |
| Well, guess less TV and screen time is good. Hopefully MAGA can consume all the slop they put out. |
| Pull the ship out of the harbor and sail the high seas my friends! |
| I am going to miss my Smerconish, Abby Phillips, and Fredricka Whitfield, but I will not watch CNN once the purchase is finalized. |

Once the White House is democrat again, I hope they will break up the New Murdochs for illegal media monopoly, and prosecute the original Murdochs for spreading disinformation on Fox.

| Dying industry. |
