The Mexican cartels are better equipped and employ ex US seals and rangers. Also lots of people in the US are on their payroll specially in Texas and South Florida. Hopefully they will not plant bombs in the US. The FBI would not be up for that kind of war.

Word is the US was actually involved in the strike. Still taking out the leader of a cartel has been done in the past. They have many mid level guys ready to fill the void and their finances networks have not been touched. Got to address the root cause- the US’s never ending demand of drugs.

The US had the same type of cartels during prohibition. Did not end till the government made it legal and regulated alcohol.
