Rebecca and Eric separated in 2018 but never dicorced. Both have had other partners for years but remained friends.

She had filed for divorce at one point but withdrew it when he was diagnosed with ALS.

They have two teenage daughters.

Is it possible he took his life earlier? Usually life expectancy is 3-4 years from diagnosis.

The one year mortality rate for ALS is 34%. More than a third die within a year of diagnosis. Some kinds are faster progressing than others.

It’s the worst. RIP and not sorry it was fast. My mom lasted four years and the last half was awful.
