The family I volunteer with got their first choice for session 1--so glad to see this thread though because I hadn't considered that maybe DPR hadn't run the other sessions yet! I just figured we didn't get in anywhere for the remaining sessions. I'll check back later tonight.

Bizarre result. My child got wait-listed for the top choice but dropped from all other choices. I'd rather get a spot *somewhere* less preferred rather than a top wait list spot and get nothing.

i've got results for sessions 1-3 so far. seems to be chugging along.

It’s just crazy to me that there are canceled no -winner bc where do I go from here?? I did get two spots, but not waitlisted for the others so no idea what to do for those weeks. Hoping everyone got at least one session.

you might still have a shot once the reservation hold period ends.

last year I ended up booking a slot at a camp that was farther away than I first considered because they had a very short waitlist. and then there are all the other camps that are $100-$130/day...

yes, they have some dumb idea that people would prefer not to have a waitlist spot at all than to be over 25 on the waitlist. DPR's community engagement manager is Christopher Dyer (firstname.lastname @dc.gov) and I have found him to be responsive to feedback on this kind of thing, within the paralyzingly dumb IT and procurement processes in DC government.

They should get the MySchoolDC people on this. They know how to run a lottery!

Someone needs to get the mayoral candidates to make this part of their platforms. Apparently right now agencies can't share tech procurement if they are under the domain of different deputy mayors.

Did anyone else's waitlist numbers drop dramatically overnight? We were waitlisted at our top choice for both kids (linked applications) and last night our waitlist numbers were between 33 and 51 for all sessions.

This morning, the numbers dropped 18-24 spots for every single session! All our numbers are between 13 and 30 now.

(Historically, this site has gone into the low 20s at least so we went from like no hope at all to a pretty high likelihood!)

I got in to a top two choice for sessions 1-3 for both kids. But for session 4, only one kid is on the wait-list and only for their top choice. Waiting to see how it all shakes out next month.
