Good makeup for mature skin

Im being followed by ads for Laura Geller and Makiage. Does anyone have experience with either? I’m looking for a simple makeup routine that will provide some coverage .

I fell for the Jones Road ads a while back and that was not it!

How old are you? I'll start by saying that I was never into foundation . . . but at 50+ I find that it actually detracts from my appearance. I just use concealer when I need it---Shape Tape by Tarte---and go with my natural glow.

Westman Atelier is great for mature skin. Love the complexion drops. It is like a moisturizing serum with a tint. Makes skin glow. Her line is mostly designed for mature women.

My 52yo friend loves Jones Road. But, Ilia is really pushing hard on my IG feed. I just hit their mascara and it is worth the hype.

I love these too but lately have been using and loving Patrick Ta Major Skin Hydra-Luxe Luminous Skin Perfecting Foundation For Natural Glow when I go out ( i don't use foundation every day).

Day to day I use Lune+Aster CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 50

I fell for the Makiage ads and don't think that is the best for aging skin.

I have been using the Revision tinted moisturizer for 10+ years (I'm now 58). Haven't found anything better.

I like Chantecaille products for my mature skin. I use the tinted moisturizer or Saie’s tinted moisturizer. Like a PP said, as I have aged I find full concealer ages me (it sinks into fine lines, highlights large pores, etc).

I have gone back to Bobbi Brown. The skin tint has enough coverage and also really like the hydrating toner for my old dry skin

Can you say more? I've almost fallen for those ads myself, many times.

I have some Ilia products -- some lip color and a creme blush stick. I like it a lot.

I love Merit- great for mature skin. The complexion stick is good and I love their cream blushes.

Ilia Super Serum Skin Tint has SPF, just enough coverage, and makes me look glowy without settling into lines.

Il Makiage was a bit heavy for my skin, and oxidized on my face, so the color was off.
Laura geller was just powdery and sat on top of my skin like any pressed powder. I’m not sure what all the love is about for that one. Maybe it’s just my skin or I’m doing something wrong.

I liked Ilia for a while - it definitely went on nicely and was a good color for me. But after a couple of months (not terribly long) it made me break out in big blotches and smelled terrible. I guess it went bad quickly.
