Cars and Transportation
| Out of curiosity I took a test drive and it felt too good to be true with Tesla's FSD feature. For those of you who have Tesla, do you use that feature and how safe and comfortable do you feel to let the car drive on your behalf? |
| Sure, if you trust Elon Musk, go for it. Just know it's you and your insurance that get hit when you hurt someone. Or drive into a wall. |
| Yes. It stops for everything and drives the speed limit. It pulls you in right beside the ticket printer so you can comfortably reach those parking garage tickets without ever scratching your car. Better to use in tight parking spaces than trying yourself. |
| Can it self park, like my personal valet? |
| No |

You need to supervise it. Lots of accident reports.

Yes with you in the car but I feel like summon is a little bit video gamey and I don’t like using it |
|
Yes. It still requires human supervision and engagement, but is closer every day to complete autonomy.
A Tesla recently completed a cross-country trip without human intervention. Remarkable. https://www.bgr.com/2093869/tesla-drove-itself-from-los-angeles-to-new-york-no-human-influence/ |
| Opinions vary widely about how safe it is. |
