We have always used Tide but switched to the Free and Clear pods last year. DH said he wishes that there was some scent but when we tried the Tide Pods with Oxi Clean from Costco the scent almost knocked us over. Is there a mildly scented detergent that isn’t as aggressive? Even with a newer washing machine and an extra rinse cycle the pods from Costco leave all the clothes smelling very strong.
Buy the stores generic brand much less stinky perfume. Its just the right amount of scent.
Much cheaper too
Mrs. Meyers.
I do not use pods. I don't like them. My preference is powder detergent. I wish we would go back to that. I like tide free powder. Very difficult to find but that's my favorite.
I use the sheets that come in cardboard folders. Almost no waste. Cleans normal living dirt just fine and no scent.
Use the scent free detergents and add a small amount of the dissolving scent beads. I think regular/scented detergent is also too strong but I like using some scent beads in stuff like sheets and towels.
I don't understand how people use scented laundry detergent. We use either All Free & Clear or Arm & Hammer unscented. I tried Persil but the scent was too strong.

Just went back to Tide powder to cut back on plastic.

Koala Eco
You will never go back. Also dish soap and counter spray are divine. |
Nellie’s laundry soda.
I like the arm and hammer plus oxi clean from Costco
All Free & Clear liquid (so we can control the amount vs the pods). Hang dry on a clothesline on a sunny day if you want delicious smelling laundry but I realize that's not flying in the current weather.

Not relevant to the OP because I do not like smells in my laundry, but those of you who have gone back to powder - please tell me what I'm missing! Did I fall for a marketing scam on the liquid?
