Who did you blame then?
Who do you blame now? Was it a wardrobe malfunction or done purposefully? |
| I always thought it was coordinated and no "fault." |
|
No one. I think it was an accident and I will never understand why people were up in arms about it. I don't approve of gyrating about barely dressed on stage, like most female performers do nowadays (and some males), but I don't fault people for wardrobe malfunctions. And if it really was intentional, then it isn't worse than the rest of the act, which was vulgar to begin with.
To me it's a non-event. |
| I thought it was a publicity stunt then and I think the same now. |
|
I was in high school when it happened and can say that seeing a breast on TV for that split second changed the course of my life …
A life of sin from there out. |

| I missed it but wasn’t her nipple covered with a pasty? That tells me it was planned. |
| It was 100% planned no one wears a metal thing around their nipple otherwise |
| I think about Chapell Roan's grammy outfit and Janet Jackson's nipplegate. A lot has changed since then. Whether or not it was a stunt, Janet unfairly bore the brunt of the criticism, because racism and sexism, and Justin Timberlake left her high and dry. I never forgave him for the that cowardice. |
+1. It was a planned stunt but when it caused an insane amount of backlash he let it all be dumped on her even though he's the one who exposed her boob. It lines up with what we've learned about him since. |
| I think it was an accident and he was only supposed to expose the bra. |
No she had a sunburst nipple shield ring so the nipple was exposed. Its a legitimate piercing people wear. Doesn't look very comfortable but it's not that odd |
+1. Loved Janet and she disappeared after that. He was a jerk to Britney and a jerk to Janet as well. |

I think he planned it but I don’t know if she was in on it or not.
So ridiculous how Americans don’t mind seeing people blown up but heaven forbid we see a woman’s nipple |
