But, but, it has two pieces of wall art that say HOME in big letters!

It sold for that amount (which was above asking price). The house is worth whatever you can sell it for.

It’s a nice house tastefully updated and backs to woods. Turnkey. People will pay for that and they did.

Kentlands is a wonderful neighborhood.

Others will follow suit.

Stop slamming Gaithersburg.

This house is in Lakelands, which is also a wonderful neighborhood. It’s very close to Lakelands Park MS.

I’d happily live in this house even if the kitschy decor was a permanent fixture.

It's a really nice house. OP, you seem to have strange hangups about Gaithersburg, but if you do a streetview, you'll see that this is a beautiful neighborhood.

Houses are routinely selling for $1.2 or 1.3 million in this neighborhood. This one is completely updated, sits on a particularly desirable lot, and has a lot of upgrades.

Narrow streets are great. Prevents people from wanting to use it as a cut through.

It is far out from DC and Nova and when I was house hunting in 2017 Gaithersburg, Rockville were the cheaper areas due to longer commute and non-w schools, now the prices are getting nuts out there.

You seem to have a 2017 view on it, though. This house is NOT Bethesda prices in 2026 - a similar house in Bethesda would go for $2.5M now I believe. New construction is $3.5M+.
