As ED2 decisions are released this month, please share your DC’s ED2 result here.
Where did they apply ED1, and were they deferred or rejected? Did the ED2 decision match your expectations? Any surprises or unexpected successes? |
OK, you first. |
| Cornell ED reject, USC/UM EA defer, Rice ED2 accept. |
Is this the "what's going on" thread OP? |
|
Waiting for UChicago ED2 results after an Ivy ED defer. DS won't be hurt if it's a rejection since they have a very spread out and robust list that prioritizes fit, plus some great early acceptances.
Will report back with results + stats! |
| IS Emory ED2 out? |
|
From what I see, if you have a second choice, then ED2 makes sense.
RD is basically a bunch of lottery tickets. |
No child should be the least bit hurt by ED2 because first of all, this is why safety-schools exist, and secondly, there is still RD. |
My thought exactly, LOL |
Congratulations!!!! |
They shouldn’t be hurt. One, ED2 is not their first choice. Two, most kids got into an ivy by being rejected by every other ivies in RD. It could be a good thing if they are rejected ED2. |
Deferred by EA UMD but accepted ED2 Rice?! That is very surprising!! Please share major and stats and BIG Congratulations!! |
Pretty sure the pp was referring to Michigan |
I think she meant UMich. Does UMD defer anyone, btw? |
| Deferred by EA Michigan, NO ED 1 VANDERBILT, NO ED2 Rice. 1530 SAT, 12 AP, with 6, 5's the rest 4s, NIH internships 2x, Captain sports team senior year, strong ecs, public school 3.85 (4.7 w), other EC's, on noteworthy award and an expert helped build his story/profile. Waiting for RD Emory, UWash, Duke, Wisconsin, VA, Miami, a couple UC, Tufts, Case, JHU, Cornell but very worried. I know at least one of the teacher recs was stellar teacher shared she was thrilled to promote her. Outgoing kid, but I guess similar to other profiles. |
