Liz Noto was named Region 1 Outstanding Principal for 2024-25. So obviously people liked her.
Earlier this school year, a 16 year-old Herndon HS student was fatally shot. Apparently he had reported death threats previously. To the extent that principal mishandled that, it would not really be an issue at LAES. Though I suppose it suggests she may ignore other things. Or ES will just be a better fit for her. My family spent 9 years at LAES under the former principal and absolutely loved it. |

+1. People spend tons of time on these forums trying to gloss over the problems at HHS, but the culture appears to have been one where pernicious and dangerous problems were swept under the rug. We saw it with the email announcing the murder in the fall. |

No disrespect to this individual, but these “awards” just reflect who has ingratiated themselves with their pGatehouse supervisors and which pyramids they are trying to tout at a particular moment. |
