16 year old daughter is going on a school spring break travel tour to Spain. Can anyone recommend a money belt / passport holder that would work for a petite teenage girl?
Thanks! |
| She can wear a belt bag slung under her coat. She probably already owns one. |
| The same one anyone would wear. The strap is adjustable. Just buy one at Target or Amazon. |

Note that every place in Spain takes Apple Pay so she won’t need a ton of money. They may leave th passports in the room also when they tour. I would just make sure she has a way to not lose the phone!!! Will she wear a cross body bag? I got myself on one of baggu cross body bags that are anti theft for our trip to Spain. It was only like $50 and you can’t cut it or scan thru it—probably overkill but it’s actually a great travel purse because of all tj pockets and it closes really securely.
My teen that age doesn’t usually use a purse but I talked her into one for Spain so she didn’t need to worry so much about putting her phone done skmewhere or having it grabbed out of her hand or pocket. My son almost lost his phone in Rome because he was sitting in a cab and it came out of his pocket — luckily I noticed it on the seat before the cab drove off. It always stinks to lose your phone but stinks especially when you are in a foreign country without your parents! |
| She should leave her passeport in the safe in her hotel room. Carry a copy around but not the passport itself. |

Peak gear travel Money belt
Available on Amazon for $21.Worked really well on a trip for me. I have also given it as a gift. The size is adjustable. Fits money & passport comfortably and discreetly. |
I have one like these and one soft one like you wear for jogging. I like the jogging one better except when it's hot you kind of sweat through it. Good job, op, very important she wears one. I know so many people who were pickpocketed in Spain. A couple teens had phones swiped out of their hands and another just out of a jacket pocket. |
| If she buys anything and wants tax back she will need her passport with her. |

When I was eurailing around, I had a money belt around my waist under my clothes with the important stuff.
I also had a small change purse with a little bit of cash in my front pocket so I didn't have to dig under my clothes to buy something. It was enough for lunch and souvenirs, but not so much that it would be a tragedy if the change purse was lost. |
What's the ID law for tourists in Spain? |
+1 don’t know if you mean for a teen girl for its fashion ability or size? But one no one’s going to see it since it’s under your clothes and two a teen girl is the same size as a small adult woman! |
No! When we were in Spain and Italy, several places asked to see the passport upon. |
| Entry. (Museums, etc) |
But can you get her to walk around without a phone in her hand?? |
| Pacsafe or travel pro |
