While US is dismantling our education system and villifying magnet schools - check out how China is systematically grooming thousands of gifted children so that they can excel in global Science, Math competions and build new tech and AI.

That’s the smart way to do it. They brought together 100,000 of the best math and science students and did two years of intense training. They did at high school age once the students have a record of accomplishment they can base their decisions on.
US parents over inflate their child’s abilities and label them gifted because the elementary school has a useless program where some kids do different activities. The only students easily identifiable at a young age are prodigies. Maybe starting in 8th grade they can separate the very top students and start intensely training them. |
| That was impressive. The scale is incredible. |
| Well, with all of the snow posts, I’m surprised it took this long for a new CCP thread. |
| Very smart. I went to a top gifted high school. It’s incredible the things my classmates have accomplished. I’m not sure why we’re only supporting the bottom students when the top students will be the future innovators, doctors and businessmen. |
| Good for them. These days it's common for top Chinese students in 4th-6th grade to take the AMC 8 and do well. This level of performance in math is necessary to enter the top selective junior high schools and be in the running for these sorts of programs. |
| By the way, the reason for the super suspicious moving van is because selection based on these sorts of exams is actually not allowed in China (for many of the same reasons as in the US) but these sorts of secretive selection processes are allowed to persist because it makes the province look good. |
Because we are preparing our kids to work for their Chinese overlords. |
These days it's common for top Chinese teachers to steal the test and sell it online so Chinese students in all grades do well |
Get a life. Extreme training in youth is not predictive of success as an adult. Read it and weep. https://www.economist.com/science-and-technology/2026/01/14/why-child-prodigies-rarely-become-elite-performers |

"To make time for such a workload, our class simply gave up on history, geography and politics. There was a debate about whether to keep PE. The school eventually decided in favour, reasoning that students would need to maintain good health in order to sustain such intensive study"
Hooray the Chinese are going to beat the US in the race to destroy humanity civilization. |
| Funny how there are OpenAI, Gemini, Grok, Anthropic, LLaMa, in little ol' USA, while giant China has DeepSeek which was made "without expensive chips" by copying American models and then adding a filter on top to make it say Jun 4th does exist. |
Well maybe kids should go to school more than 7 hours a day. |
Yeah, this head in the sand approach is serving us well, right? idiot |
| Do you believe any news from China? I don’t. |
