I hope you are right, but I fear we are already at the gas chamber stage. If Americans are being murdered by federal agents on our streets in broad daylight, what is happening behind closed doors? The video with audio from inside the detention center is haunting. What is happening in there? We never even learned what happened to the children separated from their parents during his first term. Capturing everything we can on our phones is helpful, but what will come of it? Pretti was very obviously ambushed by multiple agents, and ALL he was doing was helping that woman. It wasn’t one rogue agent who reacted poorly. It was several who acted as if this was standard procedure. And docwe know where they are now? Are they even on administrative leave or suspended? I am absolutely sick to my stomach.

It was a slower burn than 1940, they had an almost 10 year build up and chipping away of people and norms.
The insistence by some that if we haven’t just woken up in the carbon copy of 1940s Europe what’s going on here and now isn’t that big of a deal is ridiculous.

IPhones and social media make it much, much easier to manipulate and brainwash the population. In 2026, technology isn't saving us from fascism. It's enabling it. The rise of the far right in modern times is fueled by social media. If you think Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk are going to save you from the far right, you would be very mistaken.

I heard he had an interaction with Fed agents previously, and some think he was photographed and the data saved by Palantir so they could target him later.

It does seem strange they picked him, of all people, out of all the people taking photos.

Since I have seen videos of FBI agents showing up at the homes of protestors, I don’t think this idea is too conspiratorial.

Social Media makes information move faster. It’s possible for the popularity of the far right to leave as fast as came.

+1. And not only that, it is easier to find people who agree with you. That lone idiot in Minneapolis who is choosing to ignore what his eyes are telling him? In 1940, he would have been so ostracized and alone he’d probably be questioning his will to live. His wife would be excluded from book club, his kid benched for the season. There would be serious discussions about sending him to sanitarium.

Today? He can find validation and support from thousands of idiots thousands of miles away.
