Snow plowing in residential areas

| Wondering if anyone has had snow plows return yet to remedy the walling-in that they did when plowing residential areas? |

They are not going to remedy the walling in. That would necessitate the snow plows getting too close to your vehicles, increasing the odds of hitting your car. Even the large ice boulders would damage your body panels.
You need to dig it out and remove the ice boulders yourself. If you can't do that, you need to pay someone or just stay home until it melts away. |

Is it a car or a driveway? If a driveway, you can call and ask them to come back.
The key is for you and other neighbors to stand there and point and fuss so that they plow where they should and leave driveways clear. Otherwise they either do nothing (GPS showed they were in the street so who's to say) or wall in your driveway. We had multiple plows just drive by with blades up before we figured this out. |

| OP here, it’s a driveway. No cars are parked on our street but everyone has a thick wall of ice in front of their driveway from the plows coming through. I have a bad ticker and can’t shovel through that ice. |

| I didn't even know you could do that. The snowplow passes really quickly in my street. Unless I stand right in front, it's not going to stop. |

They walled in the entire entrance to my neighborhood (at least four car lengths wide) and there were and are zero cars around. Neighborhood opens to a main road with no street parking. |

OP: I do! But it doesn’t help me if I can’t get out of my driveway. A lot of other people are facing the same problem. |

| That happens every time a snow plow comes by. You have to dig out again. Use a shovel to break up the ice. Or hire a neighborhood teenager. |

| This happens with every snow plow in every area. Up north growing up, people snow blow the ridges after the plows come. Here, someone needs to shovel them. I’m sorry you have a bad heart and hope you can get a neighbor to help you. Perhaps you can post on Nextdoor or facebook. Someone will volunteer. |
