| And what do you think it will be? |
| I work at GW, and we are closed tomorrow. That's a school though. I predict the gov will be open with liberal telework or something. |
| Fedcast was 75% closure 25% delay but who knows in these times. |
| It's rough out here in NoVA. Normally we're in good shape, but the two inches of ice we got last night have made it impossible for any of us to clear our driveways again. We tried too. |
| It behooves the gov to close. They'd have more people working if they are closed with everyone forced to telework than if they open. If they open I will 100% take annual leave because my road hasn't been plowed and my kids' school is closed. |
Same in MD suburbs, Gaithersburg, Rockville, Poolsville, Germantown, Silver Spring, Kensington etc... Main roads are not good either people are sliding into each other |
| My neighborhood hasn't seen a plow since noon yesterday. I don't think I can get out of my past my driveway. It would be in their best interest to at least allow unscheduled telework, but all bets are off with the current crew in charge. |
| Liberal Leave |
|
I'm predicting open with unscheduled telework.
If not, I'm using one of my limited telework days. I'm not risking falling on my walk to metro (no sidewalks are cleared). I'm also sitting around with a heat pack on my back from shoveling which is a lot harder to do in the office. |
|
Most of the buses aren't running and the metro doesn't seem ready for a full crush of people. Not to mention that many roads are not ready for driving and won't be ready until tomorrow.
They need to close. (Telework seems appropriate, but they can't have it both ways.) |
| if metro's not fully operational then gov needs to close |
I don't know of any agencies with limited telework days. Or telework at all.
|
| There's a park and ride near my house. It doesn't appear the bus entrance/loop has been plowed at all. I predict closed. |
| WaPo predicted 60 pct likely opm to close |
| I feel like they gave enough info to make a call now, right? |
