| My 2 kids woke me up before 8am to get out of house to go sledding in dmv. It is still snowing. I am not getting out of the house now. When will you take the kids out to go sledding today? Wait till it completely stopped at late afternoon or what? |
|
My kids are grown now, but after coffee.. and breakfast.
Be aware this is a moment that hopefully they will remember , and I think it’s great that they’re not locked onto screens. Plus, for all we know it’s snowball snow, not sledding snow. |
| I would take the kids before it changes to sleet. |
| It’s too cold. Sorry. |
|
11am - sled for 1-2 hours, home for lunch and hot chocolate nap
out again 3-4 … Inside for movies and dinner You wait to shovel you don’t wait to sled |
| Seize the moment! Get out before it turns to rain or sleet. |
You take kids shovel twice a day. How do you do that? With all wet snow clothing and kids are sweating in between . What is the chance they can go sledding again tomorrow Monday? |
* sledding |
| Id ot going to rain or turn into sleet today? |
I have a mitten tree by the fire for boots and I throw everything in the dryer. They can change sweaty clothes but little kids don’t stink that much. It’s also not that complex. Kids ski all day |
Lolz I knew what u meant. |
| Either you are all a lot hardier than anyone I’ve ever met or have never actually experienced ice falling from the sky and 0 degrees. This is not weather you take your kids out in for hours at a time. |
|
I just got back, you can't do it for crazy long but kids still had fun.
If you want to go at all, go now. |
| Op here. It is raining ice now. That means no sledding for whole day, awwwwww? |
You can still sled (just did it today, also grew up in the midwest) just know it's faster and a bit harder when you fall off. |
