Microdosing for maintenance after significant GLP-1 loss

Anonymous
Has anyone switched to a compounding pharmacy for microdosing to use for maintenance after using the real thing to lose a significant amount of weight? Is it cheaper? I pay out of pocket for Zepbound vials right now, but would love to not pay $399 a month and take only a portion of the vial. I am not comfortable with reusing the zepbound vials, they lack preservatives.

Wait for the multi dose kwikpen to come out in spring and count clicks. Thats what they have in Canada and Europe.

I do. Yes it is a lot cheaper if you are microdosing. The one thing you want to watch is that you don't get vials with a large amount of mgs which you would have to use for months on end. Some people do that but I don't feel comfortable with that.

the 2.5 dose of zep is down to $299 a month. I’m taking that every other week. So it’s $150 a month. I am not into compounds or splitting vials.

how does this affect your appetite/food noise changes?

I've gone on maintenance at 5mg and gained some weight (hopefully mostly water weight) on an extended vacation this past month. At the low doses, I'm not sure I will be able to truly maintain if I moved to every other week.

So I never went past 5 and had 35 lbs to lose. Being on 2.5 every other week does give me the right balance of suppression while also being able to meet my nutritional goals. I also am potentially the person who by profile could go off meds, I didnt have weight to lose until after I had kids/perimenopause, so this has allowed me to go back to my weight and habits from a few years ago. That said, I have no interest in making maintenance hard so I am comfortable with staying on this dose pattern for a while.
