Josh Shapiro Writes That Harris Team Asked if He Had Ever Been an Israeli Agent
In his new memoir, the Pennsylvania governor suggests that when Kamala Harris’s team vetted him to be her running mate, aides focused on Israel to an extent he found offensive.
Gov. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, a prominent Democrat who was a top contender to serve as former Vice President Kamala Harris’s running mate in 2024, offered his most detailed accounting to date of the vice-presidential search process in his new memoir, which was obtained by The New York Times.

In short: He suggests that it was far uglier than is commonly known.

In Mr. Shapiro’s book, “Where We Keep the Light,” the governor is measured in describing his interactions with Ms. Harris herself. But Mr. Shapiro, who is Jewish, details a contentious vetting process in which Ms. Harris’s team focused intensely on his views on Israel — so much so that at one point, he wrote, he was asked if he had ever been an agent of the Israeli government.

“Had I been a double agent for Israel?” wrote Mr. Shapiro, describing his incredulous response to a last-minute question from the vetting team. He responded that the question was offensive, he wrote, and was told, “Well, we have to ask.”

“Have you ever communicated with an undercover agent of Israel?” the questioner, Dana Remus, a former White House counsel, continued, according to Mr. Shapiro, who recounted, “If they were undercover, I responded, how the hell would I know?”

He’s trying to get ahead of a liability on this issue. He’s definitely running in 2828 in candidates use these types of books to get ahead of any potential issues. It’s how Barack used his books to talk about how he had tried Coke and pot.

Josh Shapiro and Newsom (who was on a podcast voluntarily with Ben Shapiro, claiming there was no genocide bbbutttt maaaybe Gavin understands why people say otherwise because of “proportionality” (still no genocide tho!!!) have both decided to scuttle their 2028 chances this week.

I have always thought of him as a deeply unlikable human. Obviously, I feel terrible that his official residence was burned down. But other than that, he's so irritating and whiny. This extract of his book confirms this.

If you really look in to it. It seems he is claiming he was in the IDF but not really. It’s the worst. He is claiming stolen value from IDF soldiers committing genocide. It’s should piss everyone off.

Shapiro really stabbed Harris in the back in Pa. Went out of his way to kill her chances and elect Trump. He most likely saw Trump as more aligned with his world views.
