Our DS withdrew from Oberlin EA yesterday and is going with Swarthmore. Oberlin seemed really great, wish they could have all the experiences!

Don’t they let just about anybody in these days? I don’t mean that as a swipe, it’s a good school and long has been but it also sure hasn’t kept up.

DD in with $36k merit money! We need to visit, and she has a bunch of other apps out, but this is a great option to have.

My DS graduated from Swarthmore and had a great experience. High achieving kids who do well going forward. Congrats to your DS. And, for the record, my DS was also was accepted to Bowdoin.

Oberlin is great! Grad schools know how strong it is, esp in STEM and arts. Hope kids have a wonderful experience there.

My DC 3.9 UW, 1520 SAT is in with significant merit and is giving it a good look. They have an excellent track record with med school admissions (all comers) and not filtered out for “good” candidates. One drawback is its remote location.
