protests in Minneapolis

Can we have a separate thread on this (no Good talk). I'm not getting much in the news or SM aside from the national park facebook updates. this seems like the beginning of a backlash or the beginning of Trrump using protests to enact crackdowns and eventual draconian voting restrictions that will lead to a civil war.

But I mostly follow r/minnesota, that's almost entirely focused on ICE now. They've been showing up in small towns far from Mpls as well. There's a small town with a turkey processing plant where a lot of Somali moved to years ago after the turkey guys broke the workers' union and they hit that yesterday.

But the longest coldest cold snap this winter is coming in, we'll see how they handle that.

Yes. Here’s a GenZ protester who narrowly escaped death because the tear gas was fired at close range and there was shrapnel near his carotid artery. He’s blinded in one eye by ICE for lawfully exercising his 1A rights.
