| Been seeing a large increase in photos on next door of ICE pulling over cars in MoCo. How long until door to door raids in MD? MD about to be MN? |
| Next Minnesota in what way, OP? If you’re referring to tragedies, we’ve already got them. Maybe not cold-blooded murder but certainly multiple cases of people who are here legally being disappeared or detained. Kilmer Alberto Garcia to name the most prominent one. His life will never be the same. |
| This has already been happening in Annapolis area. |
Care to link? |
| It was happening in Chicago and many other cities months prior. So yes, any city could be the next MN |
Reports of ICE along University Blvd, Four Corners to Langley Park. What kind of link are you looking for, aside from eyewitness accounts? |
| According to my cleaning lady who is from Honduras, ICE activity is known to be much worse in VA than in MD. But, maybe that's changing? |
The link to the Nextdoor posts. |
| MoCo has very heavy Hispanic and Asian populations. Silver Spring is one of the top 3 most diverse areas of the entire country. |

Do you mean the next MN in terms of the federal administration specifically paying attention and taking particular aim at MD (as opposed to just lumping MD in with the other democratic states it doesn’t like)?
They definitely have their sights on Abrego Garcia, in an almost comically evil way. Especially the way Abrego Garcia says he’ll self-deport to Costa Rica, but the admin refuses bc they are desperate for him to go to a place that he doesn’t want to be (it’s not enough to just leave). However, I think our governor might be too handsome to target MD more broadly. Trump tends to like handsome guys, even the socialists. |
Where in VA? I haven't heard or seen any such activity. |
Same. Have read of four attempted arrests in the region and in half of cases they just left empty handed. None of them were law abiding residents, all had prior convictions. |
| I think soon enough they’ll be everywhere in blue states/cities. It doesn’t matter if Trump seems to like Moore. He hates blue states. I’d love to see them in Baltimore. That’ll be a sight. Bmore won’t put up with it. |

Hyattsville and Baltimore per a report have signed space enough for 100 officers each
End of Jan-March start. Copied from AI google search: Key Details on the ICE Increase Office Space Expansion: In late 2025, ICE sought proposals for new administrative office space in support of law enforcement operations in both Hyattsville and Baltimore. The Hyattsville location requires 3,750 to 5,001 square feet of space in Prince George's County. Increased Enforcement Activity: Data from 2025 showed that ICE arrests in Maryland nearly tripled compared to the previous year, leading to a visible increase in agent presence across the state, including Hyattsville. Reports indicate a shift to more aggressive enforcement tactics, with a significant number of individuals arrested having no prior criminal record. |
