Patch Shortage

Has anyone had any luck getting their estrogen patch refilled? It take Sandoz and it's on backorder everywhere. My doctor suggested maybe trying online pharmacies. Has anyone tried amazon or cost plus, and know whether they have them in stock?

What dose?

Yes. I've been stressed out. CVS had me running all over town to get whatever stock they had of 0.075. I had the prescriptions transferred to Express Scripts this week. It says they have shipped an 84 day supply but the price is nearly double what I was paying at CVS. It was worth it to get through the next few months and see if the shortage ends. Good luck OP!

My local pharmacy couldn't fill my rx so I switched it to Express Scripts.

Are you able to request a specific brand on express scripts? Or do you just get whatever brand they give you?

CVS mail order. Zero issues and free delivery

I was not able to request a specific brand when I ordered online but maybe you can if you call.

I usually get it from Amazon pharmacy.

I had no idea there was a shortage, maybe I should sell the three month supply that I'm not using on the black market, LOL!

I’m the Express Scripts PP. No, I was not a let I request the brand. It looks like I’m getting Mylan. I’ve had a mix of Sandoz and mylan from CVS too. I do think the adhesive works slightly better on the sandoz patch and it’s clear while some of the mylan ones have had branding on them. But at this point, I’m not picky. I just want to ensure I can get them!

I tried CVS, Safeway and Harristeeter. All are on “backorder”. So disheartening as patches made by Meyer did not work well for me. Any updates on when (or if) Sandoz made patches will be available again? Is there a brand name available that is similar to Sandoz?

I found 0.075 at Costco. CVS had it on back order for 8 weeks now and no way to source it. Costco had it in stock

Do you find a difference in how they work between the two brands?

I got mine .05 with no issue at cvs (14th and P) but it’s a different brand than the ones I currently have (don’t have them nearby) … I’m sensitive to the adhesive so hoping for the best!

You should offer it in your local moms list or group.

And- FYI you can double up or cut patches if you can’t get your dose but have access to 1/2 dose or double the dose (cut in half).
