| Can anyone recommend a restaurant/cafe in the DC area that has good, authentic soup dumplings? I have a craving! |
|
My favorite is Bob's Shanghai 66 in Rockville.
But District Dumplings is good and they have a few locations - https://dumplingdistrictusa.com/ |

Bob's is the best in the area.
There is a new place at Montgomery Mall they are known for theirs. Sit down restaurant near food court. Sorry I can not remember the name. They are good as well but they are pricey. District is ok not as good as Bob's Shanghai. |

I like the ones at Q (Peter Chang's flagship).
Only that one; not the others around town. The broth is delicious. I had the one's at Montgomery Mall's sit-down. They're just okay. Bob's is very good but be aware they are heavy on the MSG so not everyone can tolerate that well. |
I think the ones at Q are better than the ones at Bob's. Neither one is amazing. |
| Bing Bing's Dumplings in Vienna is amazing. Family owned and they are so friendly! |
| Bob’s Shanghai 66 is our go-to. The new place at Montgomery Mall always seems busy but I haven’t tried it out yet. |
Also, they used to be known as Panda Dumpling but then changed the name to honor their family. |
| Shanghai Taste in Rockville. |
| How are the frozen ones from TJ? |
| What kind of dumpling? Can’t you just make them at home? |
| Dumplings and Beyond in Glover Park. |
We got frozen (authentic?) ones from comparable to an Hmart and they were declared delish by my picky DD. They were quite pricy for hmart probably due to frozen import. But good to keep in your freezer for cravings. |
| Yu noodle |
these are frozen and reheated. ask and they will also confirm. |
