The tables have turned on the number of kids you should have. Middle and lower class people know they can’t afford kids so the rich are having dozens as it a a sign of wealth.

Its polarizing. There used to be huge families in the 50s in every socio-economic group. This also helped fuel the housing industry, those bigger ranch style houses etc.

But mostly its either very poor or very rich people who have 5 or more kids, most folks max out around 2-4

hmmm, I wonder what happened in the late 1950’s to allow families to have smaller families and to allow more families to choose the number of children they wanted.

Because they are ill equipped financially and emotionally to take care of all their kids and rely on handouts. Having a large family is the new flex for the wealthy. Having just two kids is very middle class.

Having a ton of kids is something that the very rich and very poor do and the middle class avoid…but it’s acceptable if you’re rich but not if you’re poor. Being unemployed is like this too. Same with being inbred.
