What to do Xmas eve by self?

I will be alone Xmas eve (and Xmas day). My gym will close early both days. What can I do by myself?

I suppose go to movies but that’s only two hours.

Christmas Eve I usually would go to church and enjoy a "treat" meal I normally wouldn't eat. I'd watch something fun on TV and try to go to bed early. Christmas morning I'd get up, make a nice cup of tea and a fire. Read a book on the couch in front of the fire. When it warms up, take a long walk. Eat leftovers from the previous night's dinner. Go to the movies. Call family. Chinese food for dinner. Go to bed early again.

Last year I walked 2 miles each way to the movie theater and back so the round trip walk plus the movie took like 4.5 hours total.

I actually enjoyed it.

Go on a staycation to a hotel in a townnnearby you’ve never stayed at - spa, pool, eat at a restaurant you haven’t been to.

Go out past Shenandoah and stay overnight in a retro motel.

The Christmas I spent alone is one of most favorite memories ever!! I had the fireplace on and spent the time completing several decorating projects I had wanted to do forever but never had the time. I made myself a super nice meal, picked out a great playlist, and just totally relaxed. No calls, no interruptions, no one needing me to do something…just serenity now.

The forecast for Xmas eve is pretty good, 50 degrees and sunny. I’d go for a hike if I had the time for it!

This is fun! I did this one time. Room service, tree and lights in lobby, etc.
