Any word on how they're going to replace him? What does this mean regarding all the scandals that have happened at NEC schools under his leadership?

I'm not the biggest Robby Dodd fan, but the problems in the NEC predate his arrival.

If anything, I think MCPS thought his track record at Whitman would translate into something good for the NEC, but that was a ridiculous assumption, given the demographics and high needs reality of most NEC families.

I assume Dodd saw that the NEC was hopeless and decided to jump ship from MCPS before he was hung out to dry.

We'll know MCPS is actually healing if we see Donna Redmond-Jones getting pushed out one day.

I'm not following his story with NEC schools. His past record with Whitman sounds clean and responsible. Was he promoted to CO to clean up mess in NEC and he failed?

Yes. To be fair, I don't even think he failed because he's incompetent, though I do think he wasn't a good fit to clean up the NEC in the first place. I believe he failed because the associate superintendent over the NEC, Donna Redmond-Jones, wants things to stay exactly the way they are.

Donna Redmond does nothing for the clusters she supports. Expects to be fed at meetings but does not work with the staff or students- just checks off boxes for a living. Absolute waste of money and resources with people like her running the system. It’s so disappointing

I am a retired administrator and always found it bizarre that certain directors expected a full spread of food available to them in our conference room when they would come for a meeting. There are quite a few directors who have very high opinions of themselves for no reason whatsoever.

Yes- admin here as well. Could never wrap my head around how money was expected to be used and spent to feed directors. It’s just not and never has been ok.
