Breakfast or brunch?
What foods do you consume? |
| Breakfast. Sticky buns, scrambled eggs, and bacon. |
| French toast casserole and fruit |
This. I only make it once a year and it’s the bomb. Also serve with good extra thick bacon, bourbon maple syrup and a berry fruit salad. |
| Light breakfast. Coffee for me. Cinnamon rolls for the kids. Nuclear family only. We usually have Christmas lunch with a bit of extended family so the timing works out. |
| Christmas morning was the ONE time each year I allowed Pop Tarts. Of course, I have a friend who makes cinnamon rolls from scratch…. |
While opening presents: Cranberry Orange Bread from Village Sweet Coffee After: Fruit Bacon, Cheddar, Spinach Quiche from Village Sweet French Toast Casserole from Marley Spoon Yogurt & Granola Coffee, juice, possibly mimosas |
exactly this and fruit |

I leave breakfast in the kids’ stockings, along with a toy. They get a Kind bar, an apple, and a piece of candy. DH and I sleep in.
For lunch, we have stollen, bacon, and eggs. |
| Monkey bread is the only tradition, baking while presents are being opened. Only problem I started with this silly tradition 20+ years ago? We've been away the past few Christmases and will be away this one as well, and the older kids are now ask for me to make monkey bread for them when we get back |
lol! Of course 🤣 I think it’s someone’s frugal post here that gave me the idea to wrap junk cereal, so my kids are getting things I never buy like Cinnamon Toast Crunch wrapped nicely and with a bow —maybe that will be Christmas breakfast! |
+ Another one. Prep it the night before, then pop in the oven first thing and it's ready when gifts are opened. Kids look forward to it all year. It's not for the weight conscious crowd but it's once a year. |
| When I was a kid my Dad would make everyone poached eggs, toast and Lil smokies. I still associate those cocktail sausages with Christmas. |
| We make a breakfast strata and serve with fruit, toast, and juice/coffee. |
