Is Christmas turkey not a thing anymore more?

There were tons in the stores for thanksgiving but I don’t see any around now. Are they out of fashion for Christmas?

There may be some on sale next week, but they won't be discounted the way they are at thanksgiving.

We had turkey just 2.5 weeks ago! I used to look forward to it, but have zero interest this year!

My family always had a standing rib roast for Christmas. DH's family always had ham. I was in I think WF and saw a whole section with bone-in hams.

Growing up we basically had Thanksgiving 2.0 but DH and I have transitioned to steak and lobster.

We do something else like mini Beef Wellington or pasta with seafood or salmon en croute.

That’s how I grew up and I was shocked to learn as an adult that other families ate something other than turkey and ham for Christmas.
Honestly, my family has continued the tradition of Thanksgiving 2.0. I tried to convince my husband that we should do lamb, but he wasn’t having it. I think he’d be OK with beef Wellington, but I don’t like beef Wellington.

We always did turkey for Christmas. I'm not really feeling it lately. I think we'll have a ham or roast beef this year. Turkey is way too much work, and I'm too busy for that these days.

Turkey is dry and difficult. There is a reason nobody cooks it the rest of the year.

It’s not dry nor difficult if done correctly.

I saw Turkey at Food Lion this week.

I have one in the freezer from post-Thanksgiving sales that I'm making.
